Laser Hair Removal Services
Are you considering laser hair removal?
Our Dublin team are experts in laser hair removal treatments and offer several services for you to choose from.
What is Laser Hair Removal?
Laser hair removal is everyone’s favourite treatment for getting rid of unwanted body hair. You can target it everywhere, from your underarms to your legs and upper lip. This treatment will cut down your body care routine and practically eliminate the need for shaving.
How Does Laser Hair Removal Work?
This treatment focuses laser light beams onto unwanted hairs to absorb the pigment from the hair follicles. It converts this light into heat, which damages the hair follicles and prevents or delays them from growing again.
We carry out our treatments using German technology, which allows for a more efficient treatment. This technology lets us cover a larger surface area faster than a typical machine. It also has a cooling system for added comfort. We have three-wavelength options, making the treatment suitable for all hair type and skin types.
When you hear the word ‘laser’, you might expect it to be painful, but this treatment is virtually pain-free. It’ll feel like a short, sharp pain as the laser moves across your skin. Comparatively, it’s similar to your everyday shaving experience.
Don’t go into your first laser hair removal treatment expecting to get results instantly. You’ll see a noticeable change within two or three weeks, with the best results coming about two months after your treatment.
Is Laser Hair Removal Worth It?
Laser hair removal is an alternative to wax and gives you longer results as it can delay hair growth. We recommend booking in for multiple treatments at the beginning to start the process. You can then book in for regular maintenance appointments to keep your hairs at bay. As your hair follicles will all be at different growth stages, you’ll want to establish a consistent routine. You can think of it as being like going to the hairdressers for a trim.
Anyone can benefit from laser hair removal. As the lasers work by absorbing the pigment in your hair, you will get the best results if you have lighter skin and darker hair, as the laser can target your hair more accurately. You can still avail of laser hair treatments if you have a darker skin tone or lighter hair, but it will take a few more sessions for you to get results.
What Should I Do Before + After My Laser Hair Removal Treatment?
There are a few steps you should take before and after your treatment.
You don’t want to shave the same day as your appointment. Shaving directly before can irritate your skin. Cleanly shave the area you’re having treated the night before your treatment.
Don’t use any creams, deodorants, or lotions on the area that you’re having treated. If you show up at your appointment wearing makeup and you’re having your upper lip treated, you’ll have to remove it.
After your treatment, you want to avoid sun exposure for four weeks. Make sure you are consistently using sunscreen every day and stay out of direct sunlight.
Don’t tweeze, pluck, or wax the area following your appointment. You should only touch-up the area with a traditional razor.
